ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The Mountain West announced the 2016 women's tennis championship bracket for the tournament and the No. 56 University of New Mexico women's tennis team will come in with a No. 2 seed.
The Lobos earned the second seed after finishing their regular season going 14-6. They also went undefeated in conference play, posting a 5-0 record. The Fresno State Bulldogs came in ahead of the Lobos with a 17-8 regular season record, 4-0 in the MW.
New Mexico has a bye for the first round of the tournament and will start their play in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
