The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team has its sight set on the Mountain West Tournament, as they enter the field in Las Vegas, Nevada as the fifth seed.
New Mexico (15-14, 10-8 MW) will play fourth-seeded Boise State on Tuesday– a team that they split a pair of games with during the regular season.
The Lobos took round one against the Broncos on Jan. 18, defeated the Broncos at WisePies Arena, 75-68. But that win came before injuries decimated the UNM lineup.
Sophomore Jaisa Nunn—who suffered a season-ending torn ACL in February—put up big numbers in that game.
