Will CSU lure the Lobos into a 3-point contest?

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Prior to Saturday afternoon, the first 16½ seasons of Mountain West play had witnessed just two players attempt 16 3-pointers in a league game.

Then, in the span of a couple hours on two courts in Colorado, UNM’s Elijah Brown and Wyoming’s Josh Adams each did so, leading their respective teams to attempt 37 3-pointers each (something that had happened just six times prior in those 16½ seasons).

While Brown’s 7-of-17 3-point outburst, and 32 points scored, came in a losing effort at Air Force, Adams’ 9-of-16 3-point shooting day and 37 points led the Cowboys to a win at Colorado State.
