New Mexico opened up the Lobo Classic with a bang on Thursday night, defeating Arkansas 3-1 behind senior Julia Warren’s career mark at WisePies Arena.
Head coach Jeff Nelson said going into the match that he wanted to see some major production from his senior pin hitters, and all three tallied double-digit kills on the night.
Though senior Devanne Sours was the only Lobo to post a double-double (10 kills and 11 digs), Warren produced eight additional digs, giving her over 1,000 in her tenure as a Lobo.
Cassie House was also a force to be reckoned with, pacing her squad with 11 kills on the night.
