ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The formula is not complicated, and the University of New Mexico Lobos know it.
If the Lobos are to start climbing the Mountain West women’s basketball standings, their offense must be post-oriented. That means getting the ball inside early, often and capitalizing once it gets there.
UNM (9-7, 2-3) begins a busy six-week push to the conference finish line today when they host San Jose State (6-12, 4-3) for a 2 p.m. contest at the Pit. The Lobos will play 13 games with no more byes before the MWC tournament tips off March 7 in Las Vegas, Nev.
