ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — At approximately 10:22 and 30 seconds Wednesday morning, the New Mexico Lobos reached the halfway mark in their 15-session, 2016 football spring practice. At that point, 7½ practices had been conducted with 7½ to go.
A request from the Journal to interrupt Wednesday’s practice for interviews at that moment was not granted.
Thus, in terms of midterm grades, interviews with coordinators Bob DeBesse and Kevin Cosgrove after the conclusion of session No. 8 will have to do.
Neither Cosgrove, who coordinates the defense, nor DeBesse, his counterpart on offense, was asked to assign his charges a letter grade.
