UNM’s Logwood looking for his comfort zone

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — In mid-October, Sam Logwood was front and center at the Mountain West media days conference, representing his team alongside fellow sophomore Cullen Neal as one of the two faces of the UNM Lobos program.

The powerful 6-foot-7, freakishly athletic guard/small forward spoke then with plenty of optimism about taking over a primary role on the team — both in terms of leadership and production.

Six weeks later, and with five games under his belt heading into tonight’s showdown with Oral Roberts, Logwood has hardly taken off just yet. The team’s identity, at least to most onlookers, has been about a Big Three of Cullen Neal, Elijah Brown and Tim Williams.
