AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. – The University of New Mexico women’s basketball team took suspense out of play early Wednesday night.
The Lobos shut down Air Force’s offense in the first half, built a big early lead and rolled to a 63-33 victory over the Falcons at Clune Arena. UNM’s defense held Air Force to single digits in three of the game’s four quarters and allowed just eight points the entire first half.
Jaisa Nunn collected 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench to lead New Mexico (11-7, 4-3 Mountain West), which extended Air Force’s overall losing streak to 29 games dating to last season.
