ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — There’s no place like the Pit for the holidays.
Come to think of it, there’s no place the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team would rather be even on a run-of-the-mill Tuesday night.
The Lobos will entertain Nicholls State at the Pit tonight looking to build on a 14-game winning streak in the building. UNM (2-1) is in the midst of a busy stretch that includes four home games in eight days, culminating with this weekend’s New Mexico Thanksgiving Tournament.
If it emerges unscathed, coach Yvonne Sanchez’s team would extend it’s Pit dominance to a full year.
