UNM Wins Two Events to Conclude First Weekend of Outdoor Season

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The University of New Mexico track and field team collected two event wins on Saturday at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Team Challenge and placed three runners in the top 10 of the 800-meter run at the Stanford Invitational to conclude its opening weekend of outdoor competition.

Tanner Battikha won the men's long jump and Beau Clafton won the javelin event, with UNM also having four runner-up finishers on the day in Fullerton in the men's 4x400 relay team, Allison Mady in the shot put and Jay Griffin IV in the 200-meter dash.
