The University of New Mexico volleyball team faces a stiff test Tuesday night when it visits New Mexico State at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces.
UNM (8-6, 1-1 Mountain West) is coming off a split in its first weekend of conference play, while the Aggies (10-5, 1-0 WAC) rolled to a 3-0 sweep of Texas Rio Grande Valley. The Lobos and Aggies have similar records, but NMSU has been more consistent, losing only to nationally ranked foes.
Senior Gwen Murphy (197 kills) has been a force for NMSU, which has also gotten solid hitting from freshman grad Tatyanna Battle and senior Nathalie Castellanos.
