UNM takes care of business in home win over San Jose State

There was an early Halloween costume contest and songs with scary themes were played during timeouts but that’s as far as the party went.

The University of New Mexico volleyball team took a no-nonsense approach to its Thursday night match against San Jose State. The Lobos were all business in a 3-0 sweep at Johnson Center by set scores of 25-17, 25-17, 25-22.

It was the second of four straight home matches for the Lobos, who know they need to win all four to keep postseason hopes alive. UNM (14-10, 7-4 Mountain West) remained in a third-place tie with Wyoming after Thursday’s matches, one game behind second-place Boise State.
