SACRAMENTO, Calif.— On the final day of the NCAA West Preliminary and in the final event scheduled for The University of New Mexico track and field team, the Lobos had three runners qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 5000-meters.
Under the format of the top-five finishers from each of the two heats and the next two best times advancing to the championships in Austin, Texas, Weini Kelati and Adva Cohen claimed their spot through finishing in the top five, while Charlotte Prouse advanced on time.
