The recollection of that late summer night returns easily to Adrian Mora-Delgado, even through other muddled memories of three years.
He was a sophomore for the New Mexico Lobos soccer team in August 2012 as it arrived in Los Angeles for a match against No. 2 UCLA. He had been named a starter for that season opener and was as promising a recruit UNM had ever had, having played on various Costa Rica national teams.
“It was a great memory for us,” Mora-Delgado said. “They had a great atmosphere. They probably had 5,000 fans. It was a night game, a beautiful environment.
