ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico's student-athletes broke the department grade point average, recording a 3.37 cumulative GPA for the fall, 2019 semester. The mark topped the previous best semester of 3.32, set in the Spring of 2017.
Additionally, the 3.37 topped the best fall semester GPA ever, which was originally set with a 3.30 GPA in the fall of 2015, and then equaled in the Fall of 2016.
The GPA record was bolstered by record showing from the men's teams and the women's teams. Men's teams last semester turned in a combined 3.
