Student-Athletes Set Another GPA Record

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- It's official. The student-athletes at The University of New Mexico are not just smart…they are record-breaking smart. For the second straight semester, UNM's student-athletes established a record for grade point average, this time recording a 3.31 GPA for the Spring, 2016 semester.

That mark just edged the 3.30 that UNM's student-athletes recorded in the Fall. Overall it's the third time in the last five semesters that the department's student-athletes established a new GPA record.

Three teams established program-highs for its sports. On the men's side, the baseball team not only won the Mountain West title and advanced to the NCAA Regionals, but the team did while breaking the program record with a 3.
