It started out almost a bit too easy for the University of New Mexico women’s soccer team.
When Madisyn Olguin scored just 66 seconds into Sunday’s match with UNLV, it seemed to flip a couple of switches: on for the Rebels and off for the Lobos.
The result was New Mexico’s three-game Mountain West winning streak ended with a 3-1 loss.
“I think it pumped us up then a couple of things happened and we got out of our groove a little bit and it just took a really long to find it back,” said UNM defender Dylann O’Connor.
