And now, it’s official.
The UNM Lobos and UTEP Miners on Thursday made official the previously reported renewal of their longtime men’s basketball rivalry (click here and here). UNM hosts UTEP in Dec. 3, 2016, in the Pit while the Lobos will pay a visit to the Don Haskins Center in El Paso on Dec. 2, 2017.
“I am excited to add UTEP to our schedule,” Lobos coach Craig Neal said ina prepared statement released by the school. “They are a historic and regional rival, and I know our fans are excited for this series as well.
