Penalties, Tulsa pound UNM

In the Bob Davie era at New Mexico, the saying “Out Work. Out Hit. Out Discipline” has been as much of a slogan as it has been a mission statement. But Saturday against Tulsa, the Lobos were unable to hold up their end of the bargain on that last two portions as the Golden Hurricane punished UNM in a 40-21 victory before 24,167 at University Stadium.

“We got off to a good start,” Davie said. “Obviously, the first drive we take it the length of the field, and then they throw the ball over the top of us for a huge gain.
