INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- Paul Krebs, in his 11th year as the vice president for athletics at the University of New Mexico, has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee, effective immediately. Krebs is filling the vacancy created when Jim Sterk, who was set to begin his term on the committee earlier this month, left his position of director of athletics at San Diego State University for a similar role at the University of Missouri in August.
Krebs is the second person from New Mexico to serve on the committee, following in the footsteps of former director of athletics Rudy Davalos, who was a member during the 1995-99 championships.
