ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- The University of New Mexico men's basketball season is officially underway as head coach Paul Weir hosted the opening press conference on Wednesday prior to the Lobos' first official practice of 2017-18.
Wednesday's practice went almost two hours in the Rudy Davalos Gymnasium and served as the media's first real look at the Lobos under the direction of first-year head coach Weir.
The first practice of the season could only be classified as high-energy and featured exciting drills that focused on both offense and defense. The Lobos worked on box-out drills, transition offense, transition defense, making hustle plays, game situations and more.
