ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Redshirt senior pitcher Tess McPherson earned her first Mountain West Pitcher of the Week honor as announced by the Mountain West office Tuesday morning.
After earning just six wins in her first three seasons with the Lobos, McPherson picked up three victories in the opening weekend. She went 3-0 and did not allow an earned run in 20.0 innings of work. The lone run that came across was against St. Mary's.
"I couldn't be prouder of how well Tess performed in the circle this weekend," said head coach Erica Beach.
