Locksley to roll with the Tide

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Former University of New Mexico football coach Mike Locksley has been hired as an assistant at Alabama, according to multiple online reports.

The story first was reported by al.com, the website of the Alabama Media Group. There has been no confirmation from Alabama or from Locksley.

According to the reports, Locksley’s job title with the Crimson Tide will be “offensive analyst.” It is essentially an off-the-field, quality-control position staffed by many power-five conference teams.

Eric Kiesau, who served as an offensive analyst for Alabama last season, in December accepted a job as offensive coordinator at Fresno State.
