FORT COLLINS, COLO. – The No. 2 seeded University of New Mexico Lobos women's tennis team swept the No. 10 seeded San Diego State Aztecs in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West tournament 4-0, advancing to tomorrow's semifinals against either the No. 3 seed UNLV or the No. 6 Wyoming. The win was UNM's eighth consecutive, and 10th in the last 11 matches.
The Lobos, ranked 56th, started took the doubles point, but they had to work for it. Andrea Leblanc and Rachana Bhat topped Tami Nguyen and Kennedy Davis 6-4 at the number two spot, but UNM fell at the number three position.
