SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. --- The University of New Mexico men's golf team finished the first round of the 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional competition hosted by the University of Louisville on Monday. Senior Sean Carlon leads the squad after round one as he sits in a tie for 26th out of 75 competitors.

Carlon, who ultimately finished second at the MW Championships after a three-hole playoff, registered a one over, 72 in the round with the help of a team-leading five birdies, tied for second across the competition.
