CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- The University of New Mexico is currently ranked tied for eighth in the final Fall sports women's standings, earning 20 points for its national title in women's cross country. The Capital One Cup is an NCAA athletics award honoring the top Division I men's and women's college athletics program in the country. The winners of the Capital One Cup earn $200,000 in scholarship funds to their athletics department and will be honored at The ESPYS in July.
HOW IT WORKS
The Capital One Cup is awarded annually to each of the best men's and women's Division I college athletics programs in the country.
