PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – No. 25/23 Texas A&M scored five runs in the seventh to come-from-behind and defeat the University of New Mexico softball team 8-7 on Sunday afternoon on the final day of the Mary Nutter Classic.
"Colette pitched a great game," said head coach Erica Beach. "…and we battled all game. We just need to be tougher in the seventh and not let them have the momentum."
The Aggies started off the game with a 3-0 lead over the Lobos after the first inning, but the Lobo offense came alive in the second as they scored four runs to take a 4-3 lead.
