ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women's basketball team was defeated at home by visiting UNLV on Saturday afternoon by a score of 68-51.
Saturday's game between the Lobos (11-9, 2-5 MW) and the Rebels (9-9, 5-2 MW) was tightly-contested throughout much of the first quarter. Through the first nine minutes of action in the first period, the largest lead for either team was just four points. Additionally, there were four lead changes and four tie scores.
With the score tied at 12-all at the 1:52 mark, made a layup to give the Lobos a 14-12 lead.
