Lobos Drop Game One to SJSU 4-1

SAN JOSE, Calif. – The University of New Mexico softball team dropped the first game of the three game series with San Josè State 4-1 Thursday afternoon. New Mexico is now 23-25 on the season and 8-13 in the Mountain West. San Josè State is 26-24 overall and 15-7 in conference action.

After a quiet two and half innings on both sides, the Spartans struck first with a two-run home run, taking a 2-0 lead over the Lobos.

Another run came across for the Spartans in the fourth off a sacrifice fly to take a 3-0 lead.
