ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women's basketball team suffered a tough 79-76 loss to Auburn in the quarterfinal round of the 2018 Preseason WNIT on Sunday afternoon at Dreamstyle Arena – The Pit. With the result, the Lobos will now play in the consolation round of the tournament and will be at home against the University of Hartford next Sunday, November 18. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The game against Auburn was just about as good as it can get early in the season as neither team led by more than eight points and the largest point-run on either side was seven points.
