FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The University of New Mexico women's basketball team has been selected among a field of 10 teams to compete in the 2019 Women's Cancun Challenge as it was announced by tournament officials on Thursday. All games will be played in the modified ballroom of the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Cancun.
The tournament, which will be held over Thanksgiving week this coming fall, will be in its 15th year overall. This year's edition splits the 10 teams into two formats. The Lobos will be participating in the Riviera Tournament format along with the likes of Creighton, Missouri, North Carolina, Temple and West Virginia.
