ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Clearing the air was a top priority at the Davalos Basketball Center this week.
Coming off a pair of sluggish, frustrating losses, the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team has done some collective soul-searching heading into tonight’s home game against Utah State (7 p.m., 610 AM).
The Lobos held a lengthy team meeting after Saturday’s 51-46 loss to San Diego State, and players who didn’t live up to teammates’ expectations continued to hear about it this week at practice.
“A lot of things got put on the table,” sophomore Jayda Bovero said.
