A lot can happen in six minutes. The UNM women’s basketball team effectively proved that point Tuesday in New Port Richey, Florida.
Amaya Brown and LaTascya Duff fueled a 22-3 fourth-quarter run as the Lobos pulled away for a 74-57 win over Old Dominion in the Sun Coast Challenge at Pasco-Hernando State College.
Brown scored seven points and Duff hit a pair of 3-pointers during the six-minute surge as UNM turned a 51-46 lead into a 73-49 cushion.
The Lobos (7-4) picked up their third straight win and will face 10-2 Mississippi State on Wednesday to conclude the Sun Coast Challenge.
