BOISE, Idaho – This time the University of New Mexico women’s basketball team finished.
Four days after a frustrating, buzzer-beating loss at San Jose State, the Lobos took over in the closing minutes Wednesday night and claimed an impressive 70-60 victory at Boise State.
Bryce Owens scored 13 points to pace four players in double figures for the Lobos, who finished the game on a 15-5 run. Alex Lapeyrolerie and Laneah Bryan sparked a big night by UNM’s reserves, who outscored their Boise State counterparts 27-5.
Lapeyrolerie scored a career-best 12 points, hitting three of four from 3-point range.
