ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Prior to Thursday's team conditioning drills and competition, head coach had a surprise guest, and Courtney Frerichs, who won a team national title and an individual national title this season, had over 80 Lobo Football players in rapt attention.
Frerichs was UNM's top finisher in cross country as the Lobos won the national title in November of 2015, and then two weeks ago, Frerichs won the NCAA title in the 3000-meter steelpechase with an NCAA record time. While Frerichs talked about her training and commitment, she talked more about the comradarie between all of UNM's teams.
