ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Steffi Jones of The University of New Mexico women's track and field team has been named to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Track and Field/ Cross Country Team as selected by CoSIDA.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.
Jones, a junior from Plano, Texas, carries a 4.19 grade-point-average in biochemistry. She was one of 11 selected to the District 7 first team, which is comprised of student-athletes from Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Wyoming.
