ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – With just under 30 days until Opening Day of the 2019 college baseball season, the University of New Mexico baseball team has announced that the senior duo of Jared Mang and Chad Smith have been named as team captains for the upcoming season.
"It's perfect," said head baseball coach Ray Birmingham. "Jared and Chad are two fierce competitors from the state of New Mexico and to have them as captains on New Mexico's team is special. All the other college teams in the state recruit primarily out of state.
