ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- A pair of seniors, linebacker , and offensive lineman , were named captains for the 2018 season in voting by their teammates. It marks the first time since the 1976 season that the Lobos will only have two permanent captains (Robin Cole and Dave Green).

Along with Hart and Jenkins, eight other players were named to the team's leadership council.
