After the New Mexico Lobos’ disquieting loss to Tulsa on Sept. 12, it was easy enough to say, “Hey, it’s early.”
This morning, in the wake of UNM’s’ even more disquieting, 35-17 loss at Nevada on Saturday, it’s even easier to say, “Hey, it’s getting late.”
The Lobos finished the first half of their 2015 season with a 3-3 record (1-1 in Mountain West Conference play). A 3-3 record in the second half … give me a minute, using my calculator here … would give them a 6-6 record for the season and qualify them for a bowl game.
