Golf: Lobo women take fifth at Longhorn Invitational

AUSTIN, Texas – The University of New Mexico Women’ Golf team finished in fifth place after shooting 295 (plus-7) in the final round to cap off the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational at the University of Texas Golf Club. The Lobos finished with a three-round total of 882, 18 shots over par.

“I’m happy with how we finished,” said head coach Jill Trujillo.

The Lobos entered the final day of competition in fifth after carding an 11-over par on the first day of play. In the third round, UNM dropped seven strokes but managed to maintain their fifth-place finish.
