Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – University of New Mexico men's golf alumnus Gavin Green has been selected to compete for Malaysia in the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Green is one of only two Malaysian professionals to so far qualify for the Olympic Games, he'll be competing under his nation's flag along side Danny Chia.
A recent alumnus of the Lobo Golf program, Green - the program's all-time winningest player - is one of the most decorated in the program's history. His collegiate career was marked by honors including being a three-time All-American selection, the 2014-15 MW Golfer of The Year, along with being named a member of the prestigious All-Nicklaus team in 2015.
