Fresno football standout looks forward to being a Lobo

A.J. Greeley was a popular guy in the winter of 2014-15.

After completing an outstanding career at Edison High School in Fresno, Calif., the young defensive back had scholarship offers from Colorado, Oregon State, Arizona State and Washington State. But Greeley went with his heart, signing with his hometown school, Fresno State.

One problem. In high school, Greeley had done just enough academically to stay eligible for football. The combination of his grade-point average and his ACT/SAT test scores made him an academic non-qualifier.

Greeley was distraught.
