ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Former University of New Mexico men's soccer player and current Seattle Sounder defender Oniel Fisher has been selected to the 40-man provisional roster for the Jamaica National Team for the upcoming Copa America Centenario.
Fisher has been a key part of the Sounders since last season, when he emerged as a primary option at left back as a rookie. After starting nine matches last year, he has logged 41 minutes this season and started in the team's home opener against Sporting Kansas City.
Fisher has been on Jamaica's radar for years after receiving his first national team cap in 2010.
