At the end of a 14-0 start to the season, there’s a lot of ways to dissect why the streak ended.
But there’s also little reason to go overboard with doing so.
While there were plenty of people piling on the Lobos in the past week about their lack of schedule strength or dominant wins as they were one of the remaining few teams without a loss, and many feel some weird sense of I told you so satisfaction now that the team lost for the first time (like literally every other college basketball team in the country had already done), the reality is the Lobos have nothing to apologize for.
