Davie thought Lobos offense would be “farther along”

Unless a football offense is totally dominant, as the New Mexico Lobos were Sept. 5 against Mississippi Valley State, offensive football is all about taking what the defense gives.

The past two weeks, are the Lobos not taking it, or are the defenses not giving it?

Friday night in Tempe, Ariz., Arizona State beat the Lobos 34-10. The previous week in Albuquerque, UNM lost to Tulsa, 40-21.

The 31 points are the fewest the Lobos have scored in back-to-back games since Nov. 3 and Nov. 10, 2012, when they scored 30 combined in losses to UNLV and Nevada.
