CSU shows Lobos they have work to do

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The Colorado State Rams, it turned out, were not one of those “a lot like us” teams.

Instead, they proved to be one of those “better than us” teams.

Again.

Still.

That, perhaps, explains why New Mexico coach Bob Davie on Saturday, following the Lobos’ 28-21 lost to CSU, appeared the most disappointed he has been after any of his team’s five defeats this season.

On the surface, that wouldn’t seem to make sense.

Hadn’t the Lobos earlier this season lost to Tulsa by 19 points, to Nevada by 18, to San Jose State by 10?
