Daniel Henry, though, seems to like the game more than most. During a typical University of New Mexico practice session, the senior free safety is invariably among the most animated and enthusiastic of Lobos.
Yes, we’re talking about practice. For those challenging and demanding, yet repetitive and tedious two hours, there’s nowhere Henry would rather be and nothing he’d rather be doing.
In truth, Henry doesn’t merely like the game. He loves it.
“Football is my escape from everything,” he said after Friday’s spring practice session.
