COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Carlos Wiggins returned his fifth career kickoff for a touchdown on Saturday. On Monday, he accomplished something new for him, as he was named the Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week by league officials. Wyoming quarterback Cameron Coffman and Utah State linebacker Kyler Fackrell were the offensive and defensive players of the week as well.
For Wiggins, who was the 2013 Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Year, currently is avaerging 31.0 yards per return, good for fourth in the nation. He earned his first weekly honor on the strength of a 100-yard kickoff return after Hawai'i opened the game with a touchdown, knotting the game at 7-7.
