No, Elijah Brown wasn’t the only Lobo player who left his hotel room when he wasn’t supposed to hours after a Jan. 12 loss in Las Vegas, Nev. But he’s basically the one who has had to deal with the brunt of the attention over the infraction — one that happens from time to time on pretty much every college basketball team and often goes unreported.
Brown, who has come off the bench in UNM’s past two games while being punished, isn’t playing the woe-is-me card. He may be mad about being the face of the infraction (which included teammates Tim Jacobs, Anthony Mathis and Jordan Hunter), but he isn’t saying it.
