New Mexico shut out California State University, Northridge in hits home opener by a 2-0 count on Friday night.
Not only was the contest UNM’s (1-2) first home game on the year, but it was also the Lobos’ first victory.
Senior Niko Hansen and redshirt freshman Devin Boyce provided UNM’s first two goals of the season, after the Lobos dropped their first two matches with identical 1-0 scores.
